裕福な芸術家一家に生まれた倉田章。自らも画家であり、評論家が好みそうな絵を描くことで、生計を立てていた。そんな彼は、ある日、母校の講演会で自分の絵を批判した少女・美咲と出会う。彼女の感受性の強さに興味を抱いた章。父の遺産『緋の女』を自分の絵として取り込むために、美咲の存在が不可欠だと考えた章は、彼女を自分が持つ秘密の別荘へ連れていく。そして、章は彼女をアトリエに閉じ込め、指導をドローイングと称し、美咲を自分の作品とすべく企む。それは、彼女の明暗を描き出したうえで構築し、塗り染める行為であった。
